Dallaire Consultants sold to employee group

Engineering consulting firm Dallaire Consultants recently announced that company ownership has been transferred to a group of employees, including six who are becoming new shareholders of the Saint-Lambert, Quebec-based company.
“With nearly 50 employees and more than 25 years of continuous growth, it made sense for the company, for the team, and for myself, to leave the company to key employees so that they could ensure its sustainability,” stated company founder and engineer Philippe Dallaire. “I am delighted to see them move forward and develop this company with their own vision.”
The six new shareholders are Jean-Vincent Fafard, P.Eng., Gabriel Jean, P.Eng., Dounia Kattan-Méthot, P.Eng., Danny Laberge, Anthony Poirier, Eng. and Mathieu Tremblay, P.Eng. Mario Pouliot, Eng., also a shareholder, will take control of the ship as the CEO, while Dallaire will remain on the board of directors for a few more years, as a resource person and corporate memory.
The founder says that selling the company or partnering with a competitor was never an option.
“I wanted to pass the torch internally, to those who are imbued with our mission, our values. It was the best alternative to preserve the company’s DNA and honour our young talents,” said Dallaire “This young generation always arrives with new knowledge, creative ideas, and pride. They have everything to continue the work, and we have every reason to trust them.”
“The values I feel, including open-mindedness, collaboration, proximity and the power to make things happen, have always attracted me to Dallaire. The future is bright for all of us,” stated Kattan-Méthot, the company’s director of operations, culture and talent.
